Hi, I'm Monique, and I create original hand-painted designs on beautiful wood slices. Each piece is a labor of love, carefully crafted to bring a touch of nature and art into your home. My artwork is inspired by the natural beauty around us and the stories that wood can tell.
Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind piece to brighten up your space or a personalized gift for someone special, I offer custom designs to suit every taste. Every wood slice is unique, just like the designs I create, ensuring that your piece is as special as you are.
Thank you for visiting, and I can't wait to help you find the perfect piece of art to celebrate your style!

Athabasca Falls is in Jasper National Park and are one of the more easily accessible falls in Alberta. This slice is from our crabapple tree and is about 11 inches wide.

Here is Mistaya River, located along the Icefileds Parkway in Alberta. A short walk brings you to this hidden gem that many people miss when driving along this route.

I purchased some Larch Wood slices from a local arborist who regularly cleans up after wildfires. These slices still show burn marks on the bark, and I have preserved them with a generous coating of polyurethane.
We were fortunate to be able to paddle Moraine Lake with our kayaks a few years ago, and captured many great photos.

Another iconic landmark close to Jasper, Alberta is Sunwapta Falls. It is incredible in the summer months, although this area received extensive damage during the wildfire that went through in 2024.
This Larch slice is actually from northern Alberta, and it is another one that was salvaged from a wildfire area, with burn marks on the bark.

About an hour South of Calgary is Sheep River Provincial Park, where these falls are located. It is a popular spot to visit for hiking and camping, and also for wildlife viewing. Big Horn Sheep frequent the area, as do the resident black bears. We have often spotted bears in the meadows, munching on dandelions in the spring.

Going back to Jasper, this little gem is Spirit Island. It is found on Maligne Lake and is only accessible by boat. It is a sriritual place for the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, who believe mountains are the physical representations of their ancestors.
